Oscar Fashion 2013

Hey guys, did anyone watch the Oscars? I always enjoy watching them as I am a huuuge film fan but also from a fashion point of view of course.

Anyway, here are my top picks:

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji

Now this is my favourite, the colour and the fabric are just to die for. A real princess type dress.

Robin Roberts in Marc Bouwer

I just love this gorgeous royal blue colour, which looks even more vibrant because of the velvet.

Kelly Osbourne in Tony Ward

While not a big fan of Kelly I have to say this dress is gorgeous and then it really does suit her to a t.

Sandra Bullock in Elie Saab

I love Sandra Bullock and I just don't think she ever makes a wrong choice. So elegant.

Kelly Rowland in Donna Karen Atelier

Now this isn't a dress I would ever usually pick as a favourite but I just love it. So stunning. The structure is just fabulous and the monochrome definitely helps.

Quvenzhané Wallis in Giorgio Armani Junior

How cute is she? This dress is perfect for her, I hate when little girls are dressed like little women but this is perfect for her age group. Also, the colour is stunning. Not to mention her puppy purse, cute!

Fan Bingbing in Marchesa

Whilst I am not a big fan of the structure of this dress, I absolutely adore the colour. Its so vivid and makes a change to see such a pop of colour on the red carpet.

Naomi Watts in Armani Price

Okay on the whole I really love this dress but I'm not a big fan of the cut out. I think it would have looked better if it didn't have the cut out.

Dame Shirley Bassey in Isabel Christianson

I think this dress is really simple but lovely nonetheless. Love the sleeves and the sparkles.

Nancy O'Dell in Mark Zunino

I love the colour of this dress, the different shades of blue really compliment one another and I love the train.

And a couple of bonus shots:

Naomi Watts in Emilio Pucci

I much prefer Naomi's second dress to her first one. I love the combination of then gold, black and sparkles.

Helena Bonham Carter in Vivienne Westwood

I just have to include Helena as I am such a huge fan and I just love her quirky dress sense and the fact that she refuses to conform and just wear what she loves.

So that's it. Sorry that post was almost as long as the actual Oscars but once I get started I get a bit carried away.

  1. I wasn't really a fan of anything anyone wore at the Ocars :/ Also, do you have an email address? I'd love to send you the Blogger button template, so all you have to do is decorate it anyway you like (even on paint!) That way you can have a button and it's not too technical for you :) - Lilie xx

    3. That is really strange. Oh well, something else to fix.

  2. I loved Sandra Bullock's dress although it didn't stand out on the night.

I've nominated you for a Liebster Award. The details are over on my blog.
If you do it, let me know, I'd love to read your answers!
