Nails, Nails, Nails!

OK, so I just sang that title in my head to the tune of Boys, Boys, Boys by Sabrina. Totally random. Anyway, hope you all had a good new year. I was working again, which didn't really bother me as I had 5 days off at Christmas,

but when you have had no sleep because of your bloody neighbour playing the entire back catalogue of the Bonkers CDs it's a different matter.
Just a wee post to show the nails that I've had over the past few months. I'm actually quite proud of myself as I've tried a lot of different looks for me and definitely upped my freehand game. They're still not brilliant but at least I'm giving it a good go. Practice, practice, practice!

Oh and all these pictures are shady iPhone pictures and rubbish clean up so apologies for that.
These were the nails I done for going to Disneyland in the summer, which was awesome! Was trying to pick up the black glitter hence the blurry picture. I shall maybe post some holiday pictures in time.

These nails I had on holiday, didn't I do well? Just kidding they're false! I love them though and just look at that difference in light just by being in another country. lol

These were the first freehands that I tried. Love that Barry M nail art pen!

Inspired by CutePolish these were the nails I had for Halloween. I went to the Hydro in Glasgow to see the music of Danny Elfman, which was AMAAAAZING! Danny Elfman was even there doing the singing parts from Nightmare Before Christmas! *dies*  So I obviously had to do Jack Skellington nails. Really proud of those stripes as I have the wonkiest hands ever!

I had these nails to go to Disneyland Paris at the start of December. I wanted something wintery but also Disney and this is totally the colour of Cinderella's park dress! Totally different for me but I absolutely loved it, although those stars were a total health and safety issue. The amount of times I cut myself or ripped my tights. lol

I had to do something quick as I arrived back from Disney and had my Christmas night out with the girls the next day. I loved the last nails so much that I decided to do it again only more Christmassy.

These wee penguins were inspired by ones I saw by MissJenFABULOUS (yes I know the controversy but I'm not getting into that). I stamped my snowflakes instead of freehand just for time sake. Oh and these nails were featured on HelloGiggles which I was so super excited by!!

My Christmas tree nails were inspired by ones I had seen by Meliney and thought it would be a bit much to do on all nails, so decided on accents. Plus it allowed me to try my first Deborah Lippman, yes you heard that right, which I got for the super bargainous price of £12 for 3 out of TK Maxx! Love you TK Maxx!

Another mani inspired by MissJenFABULOUS. I was really, really proud of these nails and got a lot of compliments on them. People kept asking where I had them done and couldn't believe I done them myself.

These were inspired by the above Rudolphs and suggested by one of the girls at work. A robin for Robyn? Although one of my friends thought they were reindeers. lol

Another one inspired by CutePolish, although mines are glitzier. These were the ones I had for Christmas day and I really liked these ones and was sad to take them off.

Last but not least my Fantasia nails. I went to see Fantasia at the Hydro and wanted to do a mani to match so decided to go for the Sorceror's Apprentice. Poor Mickey. I really love these ones and have had them on for a whopping 9 days and still no tip wear or chips, everyone thinks they're gel. Bonus fact: did you know the sorcerer's name is Yensid? Look what that spells backwards. :-)

Anyway, that's most of the nails I've had in my absence. You will notice that a lot of them are inspired by other manis. I'm not very good at coming up with ideas but there are so many great ones out there already that I just am wanting try a lot of them to help get me better.

What's your favourite?
