We're Off To See The Wizard!

Hi guys, I went to see Oz: The Great and Powerful yesterday and I have to say it was OZ-some! Sorry had to get that wee joke in there. I didn't know if I would like it as I absolutely love The Wizard of Oz but I just took it as a totally different situation. James Franco was great, as always and cute to boot! I thought the Wicked Witch of the West was absolutely terrifying, even worse than Margaret Hamilton if that's possible. I understood how she changed but she was just so evil. Go and see it if you haven't already! Oh and I loved all the nods to the original film.

Anyway, as I was going to see this I thought it was appropriate to do themed nails. Now I had originally tried to do gingham nails but my hands really aren't steady enough, plus Dorothy isn't in this so I changed them to this:

So the colour of the witch with a witch stamped on and the colour of the pumps in the MGM film, I was debating whether to do them silver or not.

Here's what I used:

No7 So Smooth Base Coat*
OPI Who the Shrek Are You?* (the perfect witchy green)
Wet n Wild Black Creme (for stamping)
China Glaze Ruby Pumps (from the Wizard of Ooh Ahz collection, totally appropriate)
Seche Vite
Plate HD04

I really like these. Plus I managed to scare my friend, she hates the witch. hee here.

I apologise for not doing as many nail posts recently, I have been doing my nails its just a nightmare trying to get good photos with this rubbish weather. I shall definitely try to do some more often.

Now you're probably sick to death of these posts about Google Reader being no more and the possibility of GFC following suit. I don't use Google Reader but obviously I do use GFC to follow all your lovely blogs, so that sucks.

I have had a bloglovin account for a while but I've never actually done anything with, I've not even claimed my blog. Oops! So I suppose now is the perfect time.

Follow me on bloglovin

So hopefully this will work.

Haul of the Week #1

Hi guys, so I went a bit overboard on the purchases this week and I thought I would share them you. I shall apologise in advance for the amount of pictures.

2 in 1 socks - Ebay - wrb3336666

These socks are so cute and I love how they can be knee highs or ankle socks, 2 socks in 1!

Marjour Bambi Hoodie - Ebay - Refuse To Be Usual

Spots, leopard print and Bambi! What's not to love?

Cream lace bloomers - Ebay - Mystere Wonderland

I got these bloomer shorts to wear on their own but also to wear under dresses and shorts that might be a bit too short.

My Little Pony tshirt - H&M

I absolutely adore this tshirt! Most things with My Little Pony on them I have to get online but I just happened to be in H&M, where I never usually go into, and I just had to have it.

Daisy Duck makeup bag - Primark

This is actually another 2 in 1 as the inner bag can be removed from the clear one. It also comes in a Minnie Mouse version but gotta love Daisy.

Pink diamante sneakers - Primark

I love these sneakers! I saw them in Primark in the girls section and I was devastated to find out they only went upto a size 5 and I'm a 6. I usually would have just left it at that but I loved them that much that I thought I would try them on anyway. Soooooo, they actually fit!! I love them so much I think I will go back for a spare pair.

Army jacket - Primark

Saw this jacket in Primark's window and just had to have it. I think I'll probably wear it over pretty dresses, just to be different.

Lace skirt - Primark

It's kind of hard to see in the picture but the underneath of the skirt is cream and then it has the black lace overlay. Very pretty.

Frilly ankle socks - Primark

I absolutely love any kind of ankle socks, especially the frilly kind, and I couldn't really pick a colour but they were so cheap I just got 1 of each.

Black and silver skull hi-tops - Primark

I already have a pair of these but they are so comfy that I just had to get a 2nd pair. I am all about the hi-tops these days.

Elegant Touch red glitter flase nails - Superdrug

These were a total impulse buy whilst waiting in the queue at Superdrug but they were only around the £3 mark so it would be rude not to really.

Soap & Glory Show Good Face 2 in 1 Foundation and Primer - Boots

Now I have been searching for a new foundation for ages and it's really hard to find a good one which is also cruelty free. I had someone tell me that they really liked the Soap & Glory one and since I had a voucher for £3 off I thought I would try it. Little did I know that you were already £3 on it. I bought the lightest colour as I am pretty much corpse coloured but I've not had a chance to properly try it yet. Although I just have to say it is the perfect colour for me as it is called "The Fairest of Them All" "Blanche Neige" which is french for Snow White! Perfect!

Hello Kitty slipper socks - Forever 21

I'm a huge fan of Hello Kitty and these were just too cute to resist.

Sanrio character scarf - Forever 21

What's better than Hello Kitty slipper socks? All the Sanrio characters on a scarf! Look at Badtz Maru, he's too cute!

Polka dot and floral hair bows - Forever 21

Since my hair is so short now and I can't tie it back the same way, I have bought lots of clips and bows and things to try in my hair to jazz it up a little.

Polka dot and leopard print hairbands - Forever 21

Again, just to jazz up my hair even though I have an odd shaped head for hairbands. lol

Leopard print tights - Forever 21

A girl can never have too many tights and especially not in leopard print. As the weather isn't improving around here, it has to be leggings and tights with skirts which I actually prefer anyway. They add a little something I think.

Mint and pink crosses - Forever 21

These were just an add on in order to get free postage, I'm a sucker for that. I love that they are pastels.

Pink ice cream skirt - Forever 21

I fell in love with this skirt as soon as I saw. Pastels and ice cream! It is from the girls section but I chose the largest size and it fits so I'm really pleased. An extra cute factor is the pockets in the side.

Red and white polka dot skirt - Forever 21

I saw this skirt and instantly thought of Minnie Mouse! We all know how much I love Minnie, so I just had to have it. Again, its from the girls section but fits fine. I do feel it makes me look even more hippy than normal because of the ruffles but I'll try to make it work.

Totoro fruits bracelet - Ebay - Butterfly Sparkle Jewellery Gifts

Now this bracelet would be cute enough with just the fruits but Totoro!! I absolutely adore Totoro and this way I can have him with me everyday.

Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Balm - Boots

This was something I added on to make up my total in order to use my voucher. I had always wanted to try one of these lip balms and they come in gorgeous flavours. I chose the peach one as I'm a big fan of peach. I ended up getting it for £1.37 by the time all my discounts and vouchers came off but they are usually £5.

Pamela Mann pink hearts tights - Ebay - Sometimes Cake

Tights again, but these are so cute. Black with pink hearts all over, these would go with absolutely everything.

Pink bunny earrings - Ebay - Mystere Wonderland

These earrings are super cute and I got them in time for Easter! They feel really quite heavy because the back isn't a normal back so I'm not sure how long I could wear them for but the wee legs hang down. So cute!

Cream lace hi-tops - Dorothy Perkins

Finally, I saw these on the mannequin outside my work and I just had to go and check them out. I love hi-tops and the lace really gives them a feminine twist, especially since I love wearing sneakers with skirts.

Pheew! That's it I promise. That was actually a lot. Sorry about that but I love seeing people posting about their purchases and I hope you guys feel the same. Anyway, I must go I think I heard my bank manager at the door. lol

Ooooh! Also just updated my Liebster Award post as I have been nominted a few times now and I'm just tagging on the end rather than boring you all over again with a new one.
