Poppy Nails

So I decided I wanted to some poppy nails for remembrance day, for anyone not aware remembrance day is on November 11th and it is to honour those who have fallen during war since the end of World War I and the symbol is the poppy due to the fact the flowers were the first thing to grow in Flanders fields after the war had ended.

I started with a coat of OPI Nail Envy* as my base and followed this with 2 coats of Collection 2000 Manicure 5 Day Wear in French White and a coat of Seche Vite to aid drying time. Now since my freehand skills are absolutely dire it was a case of finding a design that resembled poppies and I ended up going with BM-203 and used Barry M in Bright Red for stamping and dotted the centres with a Kirby grip and Barry M in Black.

Et voila!

My lovely poppy was made by a lady that works at the airport and it is so unique, I love it.
